Just small progress is proof that hard work compounds.
This past week I hit 169.2.

Previously I had reached 169.4, so seeing the number move again, even slightly, felt meaningful. Just 0.2 away from my goal by June to lose 1 percent body fat and gain 1 percent more muscle at 169 weight.

It was exciting to see the scale notch toward a new milestone level. Not because of the number itself, but because of what it represents.
Progress.
Just small progress.
And small progress is proof that hard work compounds.
That number didn’t come from one good workout or one disciplined week. It came from showing up again and again. From early mornings, repeated routines, and decisions that don’t always feel important in the moment but add up over time.
Thousands of efforts compound. Which means a few days missed or a few days different has no negative effect on the overall progress.
Macro counting is also helping. Paying closer attention to what goes in has made each workout feel more intentional. Not guessing as much. Not drifting as much. Just staying aligned with the work that needs to be done.
It’s not about being perfect. It’s about being consistent enough, long enough, for the effort to stack.
What also mattered this week was staying consistent up to and through international travel. Expectations will need to change so mentally I’m able to maintain and work through it.
Just focusing on continuing to show up.
That’s what this week reinforced for me. Progress doesn’t usually come from a few key moments. It comes from repeated ones. Small actions that don’t look impressive day to day but become meaningful when stacked together over time.
Seeing 169.2 wasn’t the finish line.
It was a reminder of the purpose. Building Health span over time which is a permanent mindset and lifestyle. It was awesome to see progress in the data while in the middle of the work.
A reminder that the small things matter. That daily effort matters. That consistency, repeated long enough, eventually becomes visible.
And this week, I got to see a small piece of that compounding effort show up.
